Growing up, anime was a huge part of my childhood.

I’d stay up late watching Air Gear and Cowboy Bebop, then wake up early to watch Dragon Ball Z, One Piece or Naruto.

It was fun. It was an escape.

And like a lot of kids who loved anime, I wanted the shirts too.

Mum couldn’t always afford them. I understood that, even when I was young. We wore hand-me-downs, and I was content with what we had.

Years later, when I started Hikari Ichiba, those experiences helped shape the kind of community I wanted to build.

A place where something you love can still be affordable.

Where affordable doesn’t mean sacrificing quality.

Where nobody feels left out because of the size they wear.

Where the people who support Hikari have a voice in what we become.

That’s why our oversized tees are $40 AUD.

They’re still 250 GSM, 100% cotton, oversized, drop-shoulder tees, available from S–5XL.

Could we charge more?

Probably.

But that isn’t the point.

Hikari isn’t here to charge people as much as they’re willing to pay.

We’re here to give people something they love, at a price they can actually afford, without cutting corners on the quality.

And if someone needs a size outside our usual range, we’ll do our best to make it happen without charging them extra just because they need something different.

Because nobody should feel left out.

The Hikari Family is part of what Hikari becomes.
